Tongue-twister

 

Tongue-twisters a are a way of practising elements of pronunciation. You can focus on sounds you have difficulty with and make good contrasts. Today's phrase is:

Will he want one whisky?

Here the focus is on the semivowel /w/ (will, want, one,whisky) and the contrast/w/ -/h/. Notice it's actually quite a strain to change your mouth shape from /w/ to /h/ and back!
